The lungs are a pair of cone – shaped breathing inside the chest. Each lungs has sections called lobes. The lungs bring oxygen into the body when breathing in and send carbon dioxide out of he body when breathing out. Lung cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells that start off in one or both lungs , usually in the cells that line the air passages.
The two main types of lung cancer are : -
Non – small cell lung cancer ( NSCLC )
Small cell lung cancer ( SCLC )
Non-small cell lung cancer is the most common type of lung cancer. If the cancer is made up of both types it is called mixed small cell / large cell cancer. In our daily life more people die of lung cancer than the other cancers. The lung cancer is mainly comes from the habit of smoking. Smoking is very injurious to health.

Exposure to cancer – causing chemicals
Radon gas
Radiation therapy to the lungs
Starting Stage Symptoms
- Chest Pain
- Coughing up blood
- Fatigue
- Weight loss
- Loss of appetite
- Shortness of breath
- Wheezing
these are the starting symptoms and these symptoms can also be due to other , If you have any one of these symptoms you have to undergo proper diagnosis. So it is very important to aware about of these symptoms. In early lung cancer may not show symptoms.The symptoms depend on the type of cancer you have.
